Getting medical care for you and your baby is important, whether you make an adoption plan or decide to parent. The first step is confirming that you are pregnant and then receiving follow-up care throughout the pregnancy. If you do not have a doctor or medical insurance, go to a local Planned Parenthood or hospital. In addition to medical care, you may want to work with a counselor around emotional or social issues especially if considering adoption. If making an adoption plan, you are entitled to medical care in addition to other services which can be arranged by your adoption agency or attorney.
