As an expectant mother considering adoption, you are entitled to legal representation, counseling, medical care and the right to make an informed and unpressured decision. You can talk out your feelings and formulate a plan with a counselor at Planned Parenthood, a local adoption agency or an adoption attorney. If you choose to, you may select the adoptive family, and have contact with them before and after the adoption. This does not mean you are co-parenting, just able to get information and/or see your child. Prior to making any decisions, you should consult with an attorney or adoption agency to learn about the adoption process and your rights.
