Wesley and Allyson

We hope to build a relationship based on mutual respect, one where we can share milestones, life events, and open communication. This is a new journey for us, and while we know it may have its challenges, we’re committed to showing love to both you and your baby every step of the way.

We feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by a strong, supportive circle of family, friends, and our faith community. They have walked with us through the ups and downs of our journey to parenthood and are so excited to welcome your child with open arms. We’re especially close with our nieces, nephews, and the kids in our church, who already look up to us and can’t wait to be part of this next chapter.

Although growing our family hasn’t been easy, we hold onto hope and the deep desire to be the very best parents we can be. We’re honored to be considered and eager to get to know you, however that may unfold.

We got married in 2017 and started trying for a family right away. After a couple of years, we went through some fertility treatments, but they didn’t lead to the outcome we had hoped for. It was emotionally exhausting, especially for Allyson, and we eventually realized we needed to take a step back and focus on our mental and emotional well-being.

It took time, more than we expected, but in that space we grew as individuals and as a couple. We had talked about adoption over the years, but it didn’t feel like the right time until recently. After many conversations between the two of us and with close family members, something shifted. We knew we were ready.

Now that we have started this process, we couldn’t be more excited. Adoption is something new for both sides of our family, and we’re looking forward to walking this road together, growing stronger, and embracing all the adventures ahead.

We are really big into games and we host game nights whenever we can. We are always looking for new games to play and new groups to be apart of. When we aren’t playing games, we go for walks around the temple or try and hike the red rocks around us. Allyson did a lot of babysitting growing up and has always been the favorite to play with of all the babies, infants and toddlers with their high energy lives! Wes grew up with lots of nieces and nephews and has always done his best to encourage and support them so spending time with children is nothing new to either one of us. We are strong members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and will help raise your baby with love for Jesus Christ and a desire to always do good.

Fun Facts About U:

• We are part of a community choir that performs several times a year and we love music.
• We also love to find and cook new recipes or find a yummy dessert to try and recreate.
• We do tons of things together.
• We love to plan fun yearly vacations and have already marked off two of our bucket list items in going to Hawaii and visiting Machu Picchu!

Allyson is one of the kindest people I know. She goes out of her way to help others and makes friends wherever she goes. My whole family loves her and always asks about her first. My sister once joked that if families could choose in-laws, she would have picked Allyson on her own.

Allyson works as a bank teller and always brings a smile to people’s faces. She loves music, plays piano and flute, and teaches music at church. She also likes to bake, crochet, and try new desserts. She is great with kids and has always had a natural way with babies and toddlers. I know she will be a loving, fun, and caring mom.

Wes is amazing. He is my everything and I rely on him every day. He is passionate about both his family and his hobbies. He always checks in to see how I’m doing and cares about what’s going on in my life. He is the love of my life.

Wes works as a computer programmer and really enjoys what he does. In his free time, he likes to play board games, cook with me, and play video games with his brothers. He is creative and kind, and I know he will be a great dad who makes life fun, silly, and full of love.

We are in the heart of Downtown St. George with the St. George Temple around the corner as well as Historic Downtown just up the street; full of constantly changing art exhibits and historical sites. We have an open concept floor plan featuring a large kitchen and living area. We have a garage that was converted to a play room and two bedrooms and everything is on one level. We love hanging out anywhere. We are currently excited for some new home renovation plans so we can enjoy our backyard space more later in the year! We also both work part-time at the city pool and enjoy free access to all city community spaces such as the Pool, Recreation Center and Golf Courses. At night we tend to enjoy quiet time; Allyson has gotten into crocheting and continues to find new things to make. Some projects will include lots of baby items! Wes loves looking for fun recipes for us to make together. He is also big into playing games with his brothers on the weekends and looking for others our age to play games with. All together we aim to make our home a place of warmth, love, and fun!

Wes is the baby of 7 kids, 1 sister and 5 brothers, one of which was lost before he was born. His parents live in Missouri while his siblings live all over. Allyson is the oldest of 3, 1 brother and 1 sister. Her family all lives in Texas right now. Between the two of us, we have 19 nieces and nephews. Some of Wes’ siblings have struggled with having kids of their own so they have done all types of fertility treatments and have had successfully had kids and have shared their happy and sad times while trying to have kids. As such we’ve always tried to stay close through all the shared ups and downs, even when at a distance. We have some of Allyson’s grandparents near by and we have lots of ward and community members who look after us and are excited to meet your baby almost as much as we are!

We have many friends and some family members from different racial and cultural backgrounds. These relationships have helped us value diversity, and we are happy to welcome a child into our family no matter where they come from.

We want to raise your child in a home where they feel loved, accepted, and proud of who they are. We’re open to learning and doing our best to support their background and culture.

Our church, family, and friends come from many walks of life, and we believe your child will feel supported and surrounded by love.

• Our traditions mostly center around the holidays.
• Easter Sunday we listen to and sing along with The Lamb of God by Rob Gardner.
• The day after Thanksgiving we put up Christmas decorations.
• Christmas Day, we read the Christmas stories from the scriptures and when it comes to the gifts, we try to focus on giving instead of receiving.
• We pick a person to start off and they choose a gift to give to someone else and we go around the room like that until the gifts are gone.
• We are open to any culture and love to learn how others see the holidays and what things they grew up doing.
• We love to share these with our nieces and nephews but are ready to add your baby to all of these!

Your baby will be deeply loved. We’re so excited to welcome them into our lives and walk with them as they grow. We believe in balancing guidance with self-discovery. While we’ll teach and support them, we also want to encourage curiosity and independent thinking. We hope they’ll always feel safe coming to us to talk and ask questions. Our home will be one of trust, communication, and unconditional love. Our discipline will be firm but caring. We want to guide behavior with patience, not harshness, and make sure they always know they are loved as they learn and grow. Most of all, we want them to feel the desire to do good from a place of love. We hope to share with them the same love of the Savior that has carried us, so they always know where to turn for strength and comfort.
