Virgil and Missy

As you make an adoption plan for your baby, we want you to know that we care deeply for both you and your child. We believe you are doing something truly amazing for your baby.

Sometimes, choosing adoption is the greatest act of love a parent can give. If we are chosen to parent your baby, we promise to always share the love you have for your child and to tell him or her about the wonderful mom who wanted more for them than she was
able to give at the time.

We will love and care for your baby unconditionally, with all of our hearts!

We’ve been married since 2017, after meeting a year earlier. God is a big part of our lives, and we thank Him every day for blessing us with such a happy life together! We love sitting around our kitchen table enjoying home-cooked meals or relaxing on our loveseat with coffee, reading, or chatting about our day.

Evenings might find us watering flowers, gardening, watching the cats and chickens, or unwinding on the hammock. Sometimes we enjoy quiet nights at home, and other times we’re out with friends, shopping, or at our favorite Mexican restaurant. We also love spending time by the ocean, feeling the sand and listening to the waves.

Every year we celebrate our anniversary with something special — dining out, visiting the beach or watching planes, staying at an Airbnb, or taking a boat ride. We’re excited to include our child in these memories!

We love… traveling together, drinking coffee, eating out, boating, playing games, working, singing, mini golfing, spending time with friends and family. Life is always better when we’re together!

My husband Virg is a patient, loving guy with a big smile for everyone — his friends even call him “Sunshine”! He’s an early riser because he believes mornings are the most productive time of day. He’s always enjoyed driving trucks, no matter the load, and right now he’s driving a log truck. But no matter where he’s working, coming home to me is still the best part of his day.

When we travel, he loves spotting nearby airports just to watch jets fly overhead. Evenings usually include good food, tending to the chickens, working on outdoor projects, or relaxing with a good book or friends.

Virg has a huge heart for children — and kids love him because he truly takes the time for them. Getting down on the floor and letting little ones climb all over him means the world to a child. He will absolutely be an amazing dad, and I can’t wait to see all the fun our children will have with him!

My wife Missy is truly one of a kind, with a huge heart for children! She’s a stay-at-home mom who always has a smile for everyone. When she bakes her famous, fabulous chocolate chip cookies, she often lets the little ones “help.” Missy loves being in the kitchen, and I can personally attest that everything she makes is delicious!

You can rest assured that whatever children need, Missy will be there — hugs and kisses, cuddles, reading books or bedtime stories, soothing scrapes, bandaging bruises, and making everything better. She’s happy working at home, keeping everything running smoothly. She also treasures her time out for lunch or coffee with friends, as relationships and good conversations mean a lot to her.

I love her warm smile and bear hugs every time I come home from work. She’s the sweetest woman I could ever have wished for – life is always better when we’re together.

A highlight of our Saturdays is Virgil’s pancakes for breakfast and Missy’s homemade pizza for supper — we’re so excited to share this little family tradition with a child. Sundays are special too, as we attend church and spend time with friends, growing in faith and building close relationships. Most Sundays, we either host friends for lunch or join them at their homes.

Once a year, Missy’s family gathers at a lodge, and Virgil’s family often comes together at a cabin. We enjoy good food, campfires, games, lots of laughter, talking, and singing — creating memories we can’t wait to share with our child. Our families are so excited to meet him or her!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are our favorite holidays. We travel to spend time with family for at least one of the holidays, sometimes both, and if we’re not visiting, someone is usually coming to see us!

We live in southeastern North Carolina in a cozy 3-bedroom, 1-bath brick house out in the country. Our spacious yard has plenty of trees, and our shop porch and backyard patio are perfect spots for barbecues and cornhole games. We enjoy trying to raise a garden, although sometimes the weeds seem to grow better than the vegetables! We love feeling the dirt between our toes as we work the soil for planting.

We have 23 black chickens that provide us with plenty of fresh eggs, and our two outdoor cats are always ready for some playtime. Summer is our favorite season—not just because we love warm weather, but also because we’re just about an hour from some of the best beaches in the state!

We can’t wait to take your child to the beach to play in the sand and build sandcastles together.

We have the most amazing parents they are always encouraging us and will bend over backwards to help us out. They are always looking for ways to help, and will absolutely adore the new grand baby. Missy’s family took care of foster children for years and adopted 2.  Being around babies/ children has always been a part of my life! All our wonderful brothers and sisters can’t wait to meet the new nephew/niece!  We also have a very loving supportive church group that is so excited to meet our baby! Since our families live in many different states we love having a wonderful local church family that we can spend time with and be encouraged by. We love getting together to study the Bible, pray, sing, go to a park for a picnic or our private school play area to play games, and more!

Every person is precious to God, and we truly believe that every child is a unique blessing. We want to be open and welcoming to whoever chooses us to parent their child, embracing the opportunity to learn from their culture and heritage. It’s important to us to honor and celebrate the background your child comes from, so we can raise them with love, respect, and understanding – giving them the very best foundation for their future.

We love children and have always wished for a family of our own!  We both come from large families and want a family to share all our love and good times with. After not being able to have biological children we knew that adoption was what we wanted to do and we are so excited that God is working this out and we are on this journey to adoption. We are foster parents and have taken care of a number of precious children. We can’t wait to meet the little one that will make us parents forever! If you chose us to adopt your dear baby he/she is going to make us the most happy and excited parents in the world!

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

God is the foundation of our lives and we believe that what He says in the Bible is true. God is the creator of all things including us as humans. We simply seek and desire to make the Bible practical in our everyday lives. By faith we believe that the things God allows us to experience in this life are for our good.

We promise to care for and love your child to the best of our abilities. We will accept your child just the way they are and will endeavor to help them succeed! We promise to be open minded and ready to listen to your child’s worries and struggles. We promise to give your child an incredible upbringing, one that will help them grow and learn and thrive! We promise to support and celebrate your child’s journey. Your courage and sacrifice will not go unnoticed. We will be forever grateful, and honored should you allow us the privilege of being part of this incredible journey with you.
