Sandra and Alicia

Although we don’t know you yet, we cannot wait to get to know you and start this journey together. First we want to let you know how brave we think you are. We can’t imagine how difficult this may be for you, but we want you to know that we are here to support you in any way we can. We are extremely thankful that you have taken the time to look at our profile and get to know our family. Your selfless decision will be making our whole life complete. We want you to know that we will give your child a great life. We want to assure you that we will always be that stable constant for your child. They will have a full-time, stay-at-home mom, a hardworking, hands-on mom, an older brother and forever best friend, and also an older, also adopted, big sister. Your child will be raised in a home that is filled with faith, love, laughter and acceptance. We will provide freedom for your child to grow to be who they were meant to be. We will make it a point to find what makes your child special and allow them to explore all of their interests. Your child will always know that you loved them. We will teach them bravery through your story as a mother. In our home you will always be honored and appreciated.

We are two moms raising a teenage son and an adopted daughter. Nothing brings us more joy than being parents. We have known each other since we were 14 years old. Although we didn’t get together until later, we always remained close friends over the years. Having built such a strong foundation, we are extremely close and enjoy doing everything together. In our home we laugh together and we cry together. We are a team. We have been through loss as we have both tried to grow our blended family. After two failed pregnancies, we have not given up faith to raise a baby together from birth. We both have always had adoption in our hearts, even with wanting to carry a child ourselves.

We know that adoption will complete us as a family. We know that what you are doing is selfless. We admire your strength and courage in fulfilling our dreams to be moms. We will love your child unconditionally, as if they were our own. We would love Addison to have a sibling close in age to grow up with and another little cheerleader on the sideline cheering Anthony on at all his basketball games! Aside from sports, there will be camping trips, beach days, aquarium visits, Disneyland trips and so much more family fun. Your child will be surrounded with lots of cousins and large families on both sides to grow up with. We look forward to the late nights, the messy floors, the diaper changing. We will cherish every moment together as a family. We promise you that we will show up every single day and love your child unconditionally.

We both come from large families and have always wanted to have a large family of our own. After a few years of marriage, we decided to start the process of beginning our family. We were so excited once we found out Alicia was pregnant. Unfortunately, when she was 6 months pregnant, we found out our son’s heart had stopped beating. After our loss Sandra felt courageous to carry for us. We were excited again when we found out Sandra was now pregnant! Unfortunately, she suffered an early miscarriage. During that time doctors found a fibroid in her muscle, and she had to have a partial hysterectomy to have it removed. Although we both have experienced loss, we have never given up faith that we deserve to be moms again. We know that we have so much love to give to a child. We can’t wait to complete our family!

Alicia is the most amazing mother I have ever been blessed to learn from. Her love for Anthony and Addison is one I have never known even existed. She is a mother who takes pride in making sure her kids are taken care of and loved. Anthony is her biological son that she had in a previous marriage. He has always been in her care primarily and she has never missed a beat for him. She has made sure Anthony has been given everything that she never did. Whether that is basketball shoes, the newest record album out or a long night of talking about his fears and goals; she was made to be his mother. Alicia was formally an infant room teacher but we decided it was best for her to stay home to not miss out on seeing Anthony grow. Her love for children is undeniable and her workplace really hated to see her go. Alicia is also an incredible partner and spouse. She runs a household and she runs it well. She takes pride in our home, and ensures everyone is taken care of, oftentimes before herself. I am able to comfortably go to work every day and know that she works to keep our hearts and house happy. She’s a woman of faith and extremely loyal to me as a partner and a best friend. Alicia is kind and gentle-hearted. She is the most loyal friend and will be there for anyone who needs her. Alicia’s dream has always been to give Anthony another sibling and me the child that my heart has yearned for. On June 21st of 2022, a beautiful little girl named Addison blessed our home. We adopted our first little girl and what an adventure its been. Alicia is truly the best mother I have ever met. Seeing Alicia love Addison and teach her all the milestone developmental skills has been my favorite! Watching her brush her hair, play in her room with her, or play peek-a-boo makes my heart melt. Her Love for Addison is so beautiful. She thoroughly plans her meals and her plans for the day. Addison is a very lucky little girl, and so are we. When Addison looks at Alicia, she sees her loving mother. Through the good days and the not so good days, Alicia keeps a smile on her face. She does the very best for her kids, and for me. One wouldn’t know if her day hadn’t gone as planned, because she keeps the show on the road for all of us.

Sandra is a fun mom. I knew I wanted to marry Sandra the moment I saw how loving and accepting she was with Anthony. She has shown me that a child does not have to be your DNA in order to love them unconditionally. Once Addison came into our lives Sandra was a natural mom. She never turns down the chance to dance in the kitchen with Addison or catch a sports game with Anthony. Aside from being the best mom, she is the hardest worker. She has pushed herself and advanced in a primarily man-driven profession. Sandra works hard to provide our family with the best life, allowing me to be a stay-at-home mom and readily available to Addison and Anthony. Sandra is outgoing and makes friends anywhere we go. She has a contagious personality, and everyone loves her. She has a love for animals and is constantly keeping up with lost dogs on social media platforms to help them find their owners. Sandra has the biggest heart.

Anthony is 17 years old and is going into his Senior year of high school, where he is on the basketball team. He has a love for everything sports related. In school he has always been the top of his class and has maintained straight A’s in all his AP classes. During his free time you can find Anthony hanging with his friends. Together they enjoy skateboarding, playing basketball or attending school sporting events. If he is not playing sports or hanging out with his friends, you will find him listening to records in his room while staying up to date on sports stats. Anthony is the best brother and is such a big helper around the house for us. Anthony’s dream was to go to Alabama state for college, until Addison came into our home. He is now focused on applying to California schools so that he can come home anytime to see his sister. Their relationship is the best. We are happy to report that for the fall semester of 2025, Anthony will be attending Cal State University of Fullerton, majoring in Stats. He is driven to be successful and be the best example to his younger siblings. Anthony thrives to be the best big brother and is now able to be close to home.

We had the privilege of adopting Addison when she was just born. Addison came into our lives and has been the best addition to our family. She completely stole all of our hearts from the moment we met her. Addison is a happy baby. She loves our Tuesday morning story time, afternoon Disney trips or a playdate with her cousins. We look forward to Addison having a sibling close in age to grow up with just like we did. Addison is now going to be 3 and she is such a smart girl! She loves to draw and loves reciting her colors and numbers! She is a water girl, and cannot get enough of water games and anything outside. Addison plays well with all her cousins and loves when they come over! She will be the best example to a little brother or sister!

We live in a beautiful, four-bedroom, two-bath home tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in Southern California. We live within walking distance to multiple parks that we love to visit for picnics and sports. We are seeing new families move in all around us and starting families of their own. We are excited to have a child of our own to make forever friends with the neighborhood kids, just as we did when we were younger. We have created a beautiful home that is loving and welcoming. Our kitchen has the perfect seating area that allows us to be together while preparing dinner. Our living room is cozy and inviting for family movie nights. We have put a lot of work into making our house feel like home, and have begun working on another nursery.

Our families are both loving and supportive. Thankfully, both sides of our family all live within a 25 mile radius of us. Sandra comes from a very large and close Colombian family. She is the baby of her family and has three older sisters. Her parents are the true example of marriage and family. We look up to them for their love, commitment and faith. Alicia is a middle child with two brothers and two sisters. We are both very close with our families and get together with them as often as possible.

Our friends are like family to us. We truly believe in quality over quantity with friends. We frequently get together to have a barbecue at a local park or order pizza and watch Sunday football at each other’s homes. We have a tight-knit group that has been a great support group for us always.

When we got the call about Addison being born and her birth parents choosing us was a moment we will never forget. Once arriving at the hospital we had the privilege of meeting both her birth mom and dad. It was such an honor to talk with them, support them and get to know more about them. We got to hear about what led them to their decision. They shared with us why they chose us. Since then, we have continued to share photos and updates with them. We have always wanted to make sure they knew how happy and loved Addison is in our home.

We are a family who laughs together, cries together and loves unconditionally. Although our weekdays consist of work, school and sports, we definitely make time in between to get out of the house and make memories together. Whether it’s going out to a nice dinner, a spontaneous overnight local staycation, or a quick stop after basketball practice for frozen yogurt, we make sure to always stay connected. In the evenings you can find us watching a disney movie together or going for a neighborhood walk. We have the luxury of living less than an hour from the beach. We enjoy driving down to ride bikes and catch a glimpse of the sunset as often as possible. We have also been Disney annual pass holders for years. We always make time to squeeze in a quick Disney trip on afternoons when Anthony doesn’t have homework. As much as we love the beach, Disney and getting out of the house, we also love the comfort of our home. We have a huge backyard and love to make s’mores in our fire pit and catch up while sitting around the fire. We make it a priority to balance life between work and family time.

On a typical 3 day weekend, if we aren’t cheering Anthony on at a basketball game, you can find our Alexa playing top 80’s hits while we are in the kitchen cooking and juicing for our week. Our kitchen has seating around the counter so we are all able to hang out together even if we are all doing our own things. On long weekends we enjoy gardening and home projects or getting out to our local park to play some sort of sport. If we aren’t home for a 3 day weekend we LOVE to get away for a local staycation. We love anything near a beach and a nice view. While on a staycation we like to try local restaurants and always pack our swimsuits. We also are not opposed to ordering room service and finding a movie to watch. We love doing just about anything and are always open to a new adventure together.

Ours is a family of Disney lovers. Disney has always been our happy place. We have been annual pass holders all our lives and make time to go at least twice a month. To us, nothing beats walking down Main Street with a tasty Disney treat. We love spending time together at the parks by going on rides, trying new seasonal foods and catching all the shows Disney has to offer. Although lines can be long, we pass the time by playing games and catching up with each other. Since we grew up so close to the park, Disney has always been part of our upbringing. We can both remember going there with our families. We have enjoyed being able to now share those joys with Anthony and Addison and look forward to also sharing our love of Disney with your child.

We promise you that your child will be loved, supported, and heard. We will raise them to be independent, strong and loving. We will allow them to learn and grow to be who they are meant to be while supporting them every step of the way. We will celebrate all their victories and be their biggest cheerleaders. We promise to teach them about bravery through your story. We will speak highly of you and make sure they know of your love for them by making this very difficult decision. Most importantly we promise to love them as if they were our own.
