First and foremost, we want you to know how deeply we respect and admire your strength and courage. While we cannot fully understand everything you are experiencing, we recognize that your decision to pursue adoption is coming from a deep place of love.

We live in a warm, loving home filled with joy and support for one another. Our journey together has been filled with love, adventure, growth, and partnership. We believe that a loving family provides the foundation for a happy and fulfilling life, and we are excited to share that love with a child.

We want you to know that your child will be welcomed into a world with unconditional love from us, our family and friends, and our two playful pups, Sophie and Bailey. We promise to provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow, explore, and discover their unique identity. We also want to assure you that we will honor your child’s heritage and story. It is important to us that they know where they come from and understand the incredible love and sacrifice that brought them into our family. We are committed to celebrating and respecting their unique identity and ensuring that they always feel valued and loved.

We want to create an open and honest relationship, where you feel comfortable knowing that your child is growing up happy, healthy, and loved beyond measure. Olga Says: Adopting a child is a profound and heartfelt decision for us. As a blended family already, where my husband has experienced the joys of parenthood and I step-motherhood, we are now excited to embark on this journey together and believe adoption is the perfect path to complete our family.

Adoption holds a special place in our hearts. My husband was adopted himself, an experience that has instilled a deep understanding of the significance and impact of providing a loving home to a child in need. For me, I have formed the most meaningful relationships in life with individuals not related to me by blood, and have great appreciation for the bonds that are chosen and nurtured over those that are given.

Together, we are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where our adopted child can thrive, feel loved, and grow as an integral part of our family. This adoption is not just an expansion of our family, it is a celebration of love and the belief that family transcends biological ties.

Ken Says: I was adopted through a closed adoption and was 25 years old when I was able to find the identity of my birth mother. To me, this was an important piece of my personal history. I’ve gained so many other family members including 4 half-brothers, 2 half-sisters, nephews and nieces from my birth family side. I’ve been lucky to have had them in our lives, though visits are only occasional, they give me a comfort that this early period of my life is no longer a mystery.

I had a wonderful childhood and love my parents very much. They provided me with so much and I’m eternally grateful for my birth mom putting together an adoption plan for me that would benefit my future. She just was not in a position to be able to take care of me at that time, and she knew that I would have a much better life with an adoptive family. When people ask me about my adoption experience, it’s really difficult to communicate the multi-dimensional experience. My parents are my parents, but I have this special woman in my life that gave me life and made sure that I had what I needed to flourish and grow. For that I’m eternally grateful for her willingness to provide this wonderful life to me, even though it was in a different home.

Our weekends are filled with simple joys like going out for coffee on Saturday mornings and brunch on Sundays. We often go for drives, exploring the beauty of our neighborhood and discovering new places to enjoy. We also love going on bike rides, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery, and we value the time we spend with our family and friends and their little ones. On cool days, we enjoy cuddling up on the couch with our pups, Sophie and Bailey, watching TV shows or playing board games. Our home is always filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of close-knit relationships.

We envision a future filled with memorable experiences, from camping trips and family gatherings to quiet evenings spent reading bedtime stories and helping with school projects. In our home, your child will grow up surrounded by love and support. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where they can explore the world, develop their interests, and make their own choices as they grow into a young adult. We will always respect their individuality and support their dreams, ensuring they have the foundation they need to thrive.

Outside of work, we love going on road trips in our camper, exploring new places [we are both big foodies], and discovering hidden gems where we live. Whether it’s visiting museums, strolling through botanical gardens, enjoying theme parks, going to the zoo or finding local shops with trinkets [Olga’s favorite!], we embrace every opportunity to have fun together

Olga is my fresh air in life. She has been so loving and kind while providing the ‘soul’ to our lives with her joyous curiosity and love. Our relationship has continued to grow and deepen over the 13 years we’ve been together. We treat each other with love and respect. She also has really become a wonderful step-mother to my adult children, though they were teenagers when she first met them. She has been so inspirational and helpful to them while they were finding themselves and setting out on their own in different cities and new life adventures. Her life experiences have provided her with a strength and practical point of view that is so special to all those whose lives she touches. After these years with seeing her friends have children and the opportunity to be a step-parent, she is so excited to be a mother herself. We are in a unique position to be able to offer so much to your baby and to provide them with support, experiences and nurturing them to be all they want to be in the world.

Ken is my rock, the person I can talk to about anything, especially when it comes to work or what’s happening around the world. Since the day I met him, our relationship has evolved deeply. It is just as magical, loving and curious as it was on day one. I love Ken for his sense of adventure, his love for life, and his immensely kind and loving heart. Ken’s curious spirit encouraged me to explore beyond my comfort zone and try new things. Earlier in his life Ken flew a small plane, taught scuba diving, and skydived among other fun hobbies, like learning to play a guitar. Together, Ken and I got our sailing certification, and went sailing on our road trip from Maine to Key West. Since moving to Southern California we have explored a lot of new travel destinations in our camper, most recently Sedona, AZ. When we are not traveling, Ken and I love building new memories and enjoy going to Disneyland, apple picking with friends, trying out a ceramics class, among other things. Ken has been an amazing father to his three children and I am so excited to see him share that same love, guidance, and deep care with our future child as we embark on this journey together.

We live in a beautiful neighborhood with lots of trees, nearby parks, and a family-friendly atmosphere filled with kiddos and furry four-legged friends. If we want to go out, we have a bustling street just a few blocks away that offers different coffee shops, hobby stores (Olga frequents Michael’s often), and other fun places like Huntington Gardens Library, bowling, and a local theater.

Each of us has a special place in our home where we like to spend time on our hobbies— for Olga, it’s drawing and reading, and for Ken, it’s computer programming and learning to play various instruments like the guitar. Our family room is where we spend most of our time together with our two pups. We love watching shows together and sharing our insights on what we saw and learned later. We are excited to share our lovely neighborhood and home with your child, welcoming their unique background and expanding our family traditions to make them feel loved and included.

Ken’s mother and father have been together for almost 65 years now. They live in Texas near Ken’s sister who also lives in Texas. Ken and his sister were both adopted and grew up in Texas and Oklahoma. When we first met, we had Ken’s parents come up to New York City and had dinner with both parents’ sides getting a chance to meet. Our parents appreciated the diversity that came with our relationship and different life experiences (Olga’s immigrant parents, and Ken’s adoptive parents). One instance when the richness of our families’ different backgrounds came to light, was when Tom was in high school. He did a paper on European life experiences and interviewed Olga’s father. It was a really neat project that revealed things that Olga hadn’t known about her history. Ken also made contact with his both biological families and has had the opportunity to get to know a very extended family through his adoption journey.

We are committed to embracing the journey of becoming a transracial and multicultural family. We recognize the immense importance of preserving your child’s ethnic background and identity. It’s crucial to us that we honor and celebrate where they come from, ensuring they grow up with a strong connection to their cultural roots. We plan to expose your child to their native traditions, foods, music, making it an integral part of our family life. At the same time, our goal is for your child to appreciate the rich tapestry of diversity that makes up our global community, understanding the unique beauty and value each culture contributes. We believe this approach will not only foster a deep sense of pride and self-awareness in them but also cultivate empathy, respect, and a broad-minded perspective.

Madison is our oldest daughter and she is smart and witty. She has a strength about her and she has a wonderful smile that warms all who meet her. She lives on the East Coast where she works in the hospitality industry and we see her often and enjoy her visits out to see us on the West Coast.

Joe is our middle son and lives on the East Coast where he works in the entertainment industry. He loves to perform and received a degree in theater. He now focuses on the business side of the industry.

Tom is our youngest son. He lives on the West Coast and is in the financial industry and loves his work. Tom is more of a numbers kid and has always done well in math. He enjoys all there is to offer in the city he lives and comes to see us often.

We enjoy celebrating traditional American holidays like Thanksgiving and the 4th of July with family and friends, surrounded by lots of delicious food and good company. Christmas is a special time for us; we love watching Christmas movies – Charlie Brown is one of our favorites! – and exchanging gifts on Christmas morning. Oh, and decorating the house for the holidays is a special time of its own and helps us get us into a holiday spirit. Beyond that, we have our own special traditions. We visit family and friends in New York each year, enjoying our favorite places to eat and walking the High Line, a beautiful, elevated park with beautiful city views. We also love our camper road trips, at least two or three times a year, whether it’s spending time by the lake in Big Bear, where the Fourth of July fireworks are breathtaking, or relaxing in the desert in Palm Springs. And we cherish the little things, like going out for coffee together every Saturday morning and enjoying bike rides on cool early summer days. We can’t wait to share these moments and create new ones with the little one. We’re excited to welcome their unique background into our family and look forward to expanding our traditions to make them feel loved and included.
