We are open to having a close relationship with you and want you to know that you will always be a special part of our lives. Without you, we would not be able to have the family we’ve always wanted. We plan to send updates to you annually or as often as we can, and we feel that it is important for you to visit us when you feel ready. We want you to know that we accept any amount of relationship that you want, whether that be nonexistent or an important part of our lives.

When it comes to talking to our children about their mother, we plan on telling them about how amazing their mother is for being so selfless and how their mother has made the most beautiful choice of all. We plan to refer to their mother as a close family friend who means so much to our family.

We know that this may be one of the biggest decisions of your life, but we will always be here for you. We want you to know that we will love your baby as if there were no other person in the world. Your baby will be as protected as the most precious gemstone in the whole world. We will let nothing happen to them, as they mean more to us than anything on the planet. Knowing this, we both hope that it will bring some peace of mind.

We have always wanted to have children. We first started our journey by looking into surrogacy, but we quickly realized that this would simply not be possible due to the extremely high costs. So, we looked into fostering to adopt through the Department of Children and Family Services. We were able to get placed with the most amazing and beautiful baby boy. He lived in our home for almost two months. He was one of the best things that ever happened to us. The social worker who was working on his case kept telling us that he was going to go up for adoption and that there were no family members who were willing or able to take care of him. It had appeared that the placement was going to work out for us. We were beyond excited. However, about a month into the placement, a cousin of his mother stated that she wanted to take him and the court decided that he could go live with her. It was one of the saddest days of our entire lives. After that experience, we knew that we would have to turn to private adoption to make our family a reality.

As a couple, there are many things that we enjoy and that we aspire to want in the future. We both have a love for the beach, such as swimming in the ocean or playing volleyball on the sand. We also enjoy gardening, and want to have a large backyard one day with a beautiful garden and koi pond. We both love fish, hence the want for a koi pond. We are avid movie watchers and love watching movies together on the weekends. Our favorite kind of movies are comedies and family movies. Lastly, we love traveling. Our bucket list in the future is to live in Hawaii once we retire a few months out of the year because that is where we had our honeymoon, and it holds a special place in our hearts.

Our life as a family has been a major gift that we are always grateful for. We have been blessed with the most amazing life because we are surrounded by loving family, friends, and other loved ones. We have always been fortunate to say that we have one special family. As a couple, we both share so many passions and dreams in life that many couples would only dream of sharing.

Both of us find that our silliness is our best quality as a couple. Every moment that we spend together is filled with happiness, joy, laughter, and excitement. Whether that be enjoying our weekends going to the local botanic garden near our house for walks and picnics, or just staying at home together watching our favorite movies. It doesn’t matter the time or place, we always have fun. However, every time we go out or every moment that we share, we always tend to picture it with a child in our lives. It feels like every moment is a daydream of what the moment would be like with our child there with us.

Your baby’s life will be so enriching and meaningful. We want only the best for our children. There is nothing that we would deny them. However, we also believe in being humble. We want our children to know that everyone, no matter what, comes from the same place and that we must always be appreciative of the blessings we have received in life.

Diego is the best person that I know. I am so thankful that we found each other out of all the different people that live on this planet. He is silly, responsible, creative, and loving. He always encourages me to do my best in life and always gets me out of the house to do fun activities.

My husband was the best foster parent any kid could ever ask for, and from that experience, I know that he will be an amazing dad. He would read constantly to our foster son and make sure that he was on a proper schedule. Diego always made it a point to speak to the baby in Spanish, so that he would recognize both languages. He was never afraid to change diapers, even when he got splattered one day. He always went above and beyond for that child and I know he will do even more for our own children.

Daniel is the funniest man on earth. There is not a day where he doesn’t make me laugh. He always supports me in every decision, and since I met him, he feels like home. I cannot imagine having kids with anyone else but him. He represents the world: family, respect, love, and peace. His hobbies are so enjoyable, like gardening. I love to sit next to him while he is taking care of his Bonsai. My kids are going to have a funny and loving father who is also protective and supportive.

Our home is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. The community that we live in is just minutes away from the beach and is located on a hill, therefore we get to see the ocean daily from our house. Since we live in a gated community, it is usually quiet and peaceful. There are many families with young children that live within our community. Our community also features 3 large pools, two jacuzzis, and two gyms. All of the pools are gated making it safe for young children. All of the neighborhood kids love playing in the pool together throughout the year. The pools are our favorite part of living in this community. We also have a recreation room that kids can play in that has ping pong tables and games for kids.

Our favorite part of our house would have to be the living room. This is our common space since we spend most of our time there. We have a great view of the pool. We plan on making a corner of the living room a kid’s play area. We have a beautiful garden in the front of the home that we take care of daily. We plan on gardening with our children so that they can enjoy the hobby with us. We also have a small patio that we use every week. We enjoy sitting outside with the fire pit and also have a barbecue that we use for family events, mainly for the Fourth of July.

There are several hiking trails near our house that we love to visit. Many of which are right next to our home making it easy for our family to go out during the weekends for small hikes up the hill. Since we are close to the beach, it makes it easy for us to go down to the beach for small outings. Our niece loves going with us to the beach.

We are also right next to the Port of Los Angeles. Each year during Memorial Day weekend, the port hosts Fleet Week. This is a special event for our community as many branches of the military come to show off their boats and military vehicles. We both love attending this event and always dream of taking our children there one day.

Our family is one of the most loving and caring on the planet. For my family (Daniel’s side), I am surrounded by many women. My mother goes above and beyond for anyone that she loves. She has been waiting to be a grandmother for so many years and is so excited and ready to help out. My father is a great man who has always wanted us to have kids. He is definitely the one who will spoil our children. Lastly, my grandmother is a major part of our lives. She is beyond excited for us to start our family and for her, becoming a great grandparent is everything. Both of my parents are funny and love to be silly just like Diego and I. My grandmother’s personality is a bit on the stricter side, but we cannot blame her as she is a retired middle school teacher. So she takes education and manners very seriously. I also have adopted cousins who live in Washington state, so I know that my family will love my kids just as much as they love my cousins.

For my family (Diego’s side), I am lucky to have my sister living close to me who was a Doula and a nanny for many years. She is always sharing the best tips with me to prepare me for being a parent. My family in Peru, parents, and relatives, are excited to fly to California to spend time with the new baby of the family. Especially my parents who cannot stop dreaming about their new grandchild.

Our culture is very important to us, as it is to anyone. We plan on making sure that your child is taught not only their culture, but also the cultures of the world. We know how important it is for kids to be exposed to different cultures. It helps them learn more about themselves and it teaches them about the traditions and values of others. We feel that this will make them more loving, accepting, and understanding of others who may be different from themselves.

We have one dog, and her name is Dory. We named her after Dory from Finding Nemo since it is one of our favorite movies. Dory is one of the sweetest and loving dogs that we have ever owned. She is so silly and loves to play, especially with her stuffed animals that she loves to destroy. Our dog truly has the heart and mind of a human. She is so loving that we can literally see and feel the love from her. We have also owned fish in the past and plan on getting a saltwater aquarium and a koi pond in the future.

Christmas- For Christmas Eve, we celebrate at midnight because in Peru it is the most important part of Christmas when the clock strikes midnight. The family gathers together to enjoy turkey and all of the delicious food that our family is known for cooking. We also celebrate Christmas Day as it is Daniel’s family tradition to celebrate Christmas morning. We want our kids to have the best Christmas mornings opening their presents from Santa. Our family tradition is to always get a real Christmas tree and decorate it together while listening to Christmas music. Every inch of our home gets decorated for Christmas. Our house will look like Santa’s workshop for the entire month of December. It sparks so much joy in our family when they come to visit us for the holiday.

New Year’s Eve -We have a tradition of always being out of the house during New Year’s Eve because we believe that it will help bring us happiness, and it gives us time to spend with our family.

Traveling to Peru -We travel to Peru at least once a year to visit Diego’s side of the family. It is one of the most exciting parts of the year as Peru is such a beautiful country to visit. Diego’s parents live in one of the most beautiful areas near the ocean in Lima and their home is so close to many incredible restaurants. When we are there we try to visit at least one new part of the country if possible. We look forward to taking our future children all over Peru and the world.

We promise to always make education a top priority for your child. We will always validate your child’s feelings and beliefs. We want to pass on our family’s values of hard work and effort. We will make sure that your baby is exposed to as many activities as possible, so that they can find their own passions and desires in life. We will make sure that they know right from wrong. We also promise to make them laugh everyday, so that they never go to bed feeling sad. We promise to always protect them and love them with every inch of our mind and soul. It is such an important time in your life right now and we are so proud and thankful for people like you who are making the most loving and selfless decision of all. We want to reassure you that if you choose us, once the baby is in our care, this will not be the final goodbye.
